Patrick Mylott died in the Brownlow Hill Workhouse Hospital, on the 27th December 1877 and was buried in Common Ground within the Anfield Cemetery, Liverpool. ( The Roman Catholic Cathedral was built on the site of the Workhouse ).

In 1994 a marker stone was erected in the cemetery to commemorate Patrick Mylott but was not placed over his burial plot.

This has now been rectified through a project carried out by the St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Primary School, Walton, into Patrick Mylott VC, resulting in the relocaton of the 1994 stone to the exact burial plot of Mylott in the Anfield Cemetery. ( Section 2, Grave 1743 ).
